Bateson Hall

I decided to do a new topic for people who will be living in Bateson hall. Just because as yet i've not found anyone on here who is! I'll be living on the second floor, room 1, apparently lol. :biggrin:

oh hey! i'm really glad to find another one here. When are you going to move in? I think i'm moving in on the 29th now that i know i can, so hopefully i wont be the only one doing so. what course are you doing?

I think I'll be moving in with the bare essentials on the friday, then the family and whatnot are going to bring up all the rubbish, and come and see where I am actually living on the saturday. Hopfully I'll have time on friday for a trek around the city, etc. I wish I could move in on the thursday - cant wait to get away from home. :biggrin:

I'm scared about being the only one in my flat when I move in, but hey - you'll get to meet and greet the others as they arive. Big brother style eh?

Anyway, I'm doing an HND in Computing. How about yourself?

yeah i'm going to move in with mostly just the basics on the thursday, and then my family are going to come with everything else on the saturday. oh, i got a bike (bicycle type) for my birthday. does anyone know if there is anywhere to put it around bateson? i'm going to be doing a ba in english and creative writing. yeah i know what you mean, i so can't wait to get out of here. i know the rest of this month is going to totally drag by. *sigh*

heh. I'm taking my bike too - i'm told it makes for excellent cycling around pompy - being flat and whatnot. I'm on the first floor - dragging it upstairs would be a bit of a pain in the ass, and I'm sure it would get in peoples way...?

There is a lift and it fits 2 trolleys in it (tried and tested :wink:

)
There is plenty of open space in your flat which will only accumulate junk anyway (random clothing not necessarily belonging to any of the flat's occupants, xmas trees, bean bags etc).

Ooops bugger, just remembered I'm talking about A block only :frown:

The other blocks have different lay outs and only A block has a lift and the flats in other blocks don't have as much free space in them :frown:

as long as it's not loud chav music! heh cool, i'm glad i'm in A block. I just read that bikes aren't allowed in your room. I guess i'll just see when i get down there. Where are you going to be, decyfa? like, what room/floor?
