Yeh, the room i visited facing into the quad (i dunno what block, but it was the one that was the opposite side of the entrance from reception)

Well, Unit 5 is the one closest to the T.V. room overlooking the quad... Opposite Unit 2 which is at the other end of the quad and is closest to the kitchens and JCR bar.

Hey, El Pollo Diablo? Another couple of questions if you wouldn't mind.

You know there are occasional formal meals at Badock. What is the dress code for such a meal? In the handbook it just says "dress suitable for a smart restaurant". So do they mean shirt and tie? Full suit? Or is that overdressing.

And is there any official Badock clothing?

Some people went in shirt and tie, some in dinner jackets, it doesnt matter either way.

As for Badock clothing, at the end of the year they were selling t-shirts that had "F**k Wills* on the front, in the style of the Jack Wills logo, and Badock 2005 on the back. Classy. Never saw any hoodies or anything though.

Yeah, that'll be fine, although you'll need a DJ for formals (Freshers' Ball, end of year ones).

As for the f**k Wills t-shirts, it was mostly the knobheads that I saw wearing them, unfortunately.

I know it'd be a breach of copyright, but "F-C-U-K Wills" t-shirts would probably be better. Still, not overly friendly to our lovely Wills neighbours tho.

You've definitely not got a washbasin (unless they've installed them over summer, which is very unlikely) because I was in Unit 3 first floor. What room number are you?

Hi Tom.

Why are you having to pay the same as me for a room without a washbasin? Surely either we both don't have washbasins and we're both being ripped off or you don't have a washbasin and you're being ripped off... or maybe we both do have washbasins. I'm confused. :confused:

how much are u both paying? because on my "acceptance of student accomodation at bristo university 2005/6" it says accomodation: unit 4 room 4003 no basin ground floor, and accomodation fee: 3695.75 pounds, payable by the instalents and by the dates below, fees include within the first instalments the standard charges: deposit 200 pounds;jcr fee 40 pounds and student insurance 15.75 pounds.

£200 deposit? Ours was £100 last year. Maybe some people caused more than a hundred quid's worth of damage. :eek:

I got £96.40 of mine back - I took the two pillows they provided thinking they were my own. The big BH in marker pen probably gave it away that they weren't, in hindsight. Still, £3.60 for two pillows. Bargain.

On mine it says -

Unit 5, Room No. 5210 2nd floor. Fee - 3815.75 pounds (and there's no info about NOT having a washbasin like on yours.) All the info about the installments and other fees is the same.

Im in unit 7 third floor it says you get basins sometimes based on medical things...i only put down asthma! not that im complaining! anyone els ein unit 7???
