Well, u ain't the only girl, Sian. According to the subject list, asifbymagic is another female Bristol historian. 
But admittedly, the ratio ain't lookin good for us guys so far.

Damn! I was intending to make alcoholism one of the things that I picked up at university. I'll be the one with a hip-flask in lectures.

It's a shame they don't have longer opening hours at the Bar, what do they expect us to do all day when we're at Badock?

I'm surprised by the opening times too. I at least thought they might open around 5 on weekdays so we can have a few swift pints before dinner. And i certainly hoped the bar would be open during the day on Saturday and Sunday so we can have few pints while watching the footy. I think we should complain during Freshers Week - exercise a bit of people power.

Don't forget that it's us that staff the bar (apparently).
lol is there no one else in unit seven?? this is so boring...waiting to go to uni i mean everyone else i know has gone or does by tues... half my friends will have been at uni 2 weeks when freshers week starts at bristol anyone else getting bored and just wants to go?!

yeh i cant wait either,
only about a week now. look on the bright side though, theyll be attending lectures and having to work when we are having our two weeks of madness and theyll be the ones jealous of us.
some of my friends are still here cambridge students go on the same day as us and oxford doesnt start till the 4th. plus cambridge only have a freshers weekend.

The Badock count down is well and truly underway. My nerves are starting to jangle making my list of things i need to take/buy. Anyone else feeling nervous?

On the sheet we got, it says fresher's week is 3rd to friday 7th. So i'd guess lectures start up on the 9th. What's all this abt a 2 week fresher's, i haven't heard that?

and apparently we also do get 2 weeks of fresher's now, can someone confirm this?! tres confused
i think lectures etc start on the 10th, but freshers stuff goes on til the freshers ball on the 14th. just a way to get more money out of us methinks...
