Is there a lot of opportunity to play sports at KCL? How far away are the sports grounds from the main buildings?

Thanks

Im thinking of playing some football, which sports do you play? I think there is one, but pretty far off. There was a thread about this somewhere...

Yeah same. I also want to do Maths! But I'm only applying this year. I hope they're not miles away otherwise I might not apply. I like my sports, you see.
There's Berrylands, somewhere in London, and it's meant to be about 3/4 of an hour to travel there. That's for Rugby at least.

KCH has squash courts and table-tennis tables. Look in the Residence Guide to find out - there's a table in there detailing what's available where.

Berrylands is out past Wimbledon... I don't think it even has a London post code.

When you go out there, you realise you're properly in the countryside.
yeh the sports grounds are far - used to go there to play LAX. They play footy also at Berrylands.

according to unofficial-guides.com:

"King’s students are quite a sporty lot. 40% of University of London team members are King’s students."

But also:

"Although King’s has a good sporting reputation, their outdoor sports facilities are about 10 miles from the Strand Campus, at Berrylands in Mitcham! This means an annoying tube ride to and from practices and matches. However, there are indoor facilities closer to home. The Strand has a shooting range, and there is the new K4 fitness centre on Stamford Street. Guy’s has a swimming pool."
