I'm starting uni this yr, but if I wanted to go to a different uni next september, would i need to apply again through ucas in the next couple of months? Or will it be possible to just apply directly to the uni later on?

It depends. If you want to do the same course at a different uni you may be able to change, but the modules have to be the same so it's unlikely. The best thing to do is contact the uni you're interested in and ask, but don't expect anything.

    You apply through UCAS.
If you wanna stay on the same course, make sure you call the unis you wanna apply at beforehand to see if they accept year 2 entries.
Then you enter 2 in the point of entry section and that's it.

If it is a different course, you know how it works :P
