how are people taking CDs? Are you leaving them in their cases and just bringing those or just buying a CD wallet and taking that?

I've uploaded them all onto my PC for easier listening and to save space. Seems like a good idea.

if you have the space in the car, id take them. i find its nice to have something to put on your shelves, otherwise your room just doesn't feel like home, y'know?

i dont have many cd's - just about 30-40. i source my music from less expensive digital outlets nowadays... but my point is, i had a bare room in 1st year because i was afraid of taking too much. and it sucked. it needs to feel like your own, otherwise it feels like you live in a hotel.

I brought a cd rack yday, a nice pretty silver one  I'm taking my fave cds in their proper cases then all the others (and theres a few, the perils of doing music!) in a cd wllet thingymajig
I've got loads of frames photos of my boyfriend and me  yay
i bought a big cd tower the other day, but it only fits 80 cd's, im gonna have to sit down and grudgingly leave most of them at home :frown:
as for books and dvd's. im probably just gonna take about 30 dvd's to put on the shelf, and i only have 4 books so i may as well take all of them. i hate downloading music on my laptop cause i have so much and my laptop goes slow if i have too much stuff on it. damn laptops!

my advice would be to take as much stuff as you can. you can always send stuff back with your parents, you cant get things you didn't bring from home.
At first I took my CDs in a carry case, but then I got fed up of not remembering where all the tracks were on the CD so I brought my CD cases down at a later date.

Its also one of those things that makes your room feel more homely and 'yours' cos the carry case made me feel like I was in transit lol, as if I hadn't settled, so its a comfort to take your CD cases in some wierd way.

this girl knows where its at. its all about trying to fill your room so you forget you are living in a single room a bit akin to a prison cell!

this girl knows where its at.

Naturally
I guess I'll be taking my CDs proper then lol. I'll have to haul my old racks out of the attic.....Will have to ristrict what I take though lol.

Don't own many DVDs...but Scrubs, Futurama and Simpsons are coming..those are the ones that I own! lol

Quite a few books, but I can leave most of those at home....I've no idea how much I'm taking really....I'm just shoving potentially useful things in boxes
Better be safe that sorry. You can always take stuff back if you don't use it.

Scrubs, Futurama and Simpsons. Mind if I come around?
