Black tie or black eye?

I was just wondering whether Newcastle holds any black tie type events, or is it clubbing all the way?? (I need to know whether I should invest in a smart/cocktail dress for freshers week)

hmmm well i have seen the rahs doing it....i didn't socialise with them (my ex did...wench) but sometimes its handy to have one...even if it isn't a massive over the top one. Thats handy to have a smart suit/dress not a dress just for me...haven't got the hips for it....

I think Northumbria r hvin a ball in Freshers week. But as far as i know we're just havin that school disco thingy! lol! Can't believe we've just left school & they're making us go back again!

I'm goin up for Northumbria's freshers week & apparently we can go, as we know one of the freshers crew there. So i'm taking a dress up.

It would be useful, as there are many sports balls... loadsa balls really... so take one, but you wont use it much.

Northumbria's freshers week begins on the 17th, so we're going up on the 16th.
