I am currently doing OCR AS Physics. Can anybody recommend me a good textbook to use for this exam board?

We're currently using "Advanced Physics", Adams/Allday ISBN 0-19-914680-2. It seems to be written for most of the exam boards (including OCR which i'm studying too). Covers AS & A2.

Try the book ''Essential physics for OCR'' That one follows the syllabus in good detail and got me a A. Theres also ''Physics 1'' although it covers most things it was written back in 2000 and so doesnt have everything. I found using the essential and the older one for back up the best method.

We are talking about the OCR A Specification right? I mean, forces and motions, electrons and photons, etc.

'Advanced Physics for You' by Keith Johnson (and others) is a very good general A-level textbook and will almost certainly cover all the OCR material. It points out which chapters are relevant for which exam board.

That is a fairly meaty book to use as a school textbook. I do OCR B and there are no (or very few) specific books for the course, other than the absolutely poor Advancing Physics (purple book).
