Just finished enrolment, I went still unsure as to what to take for my fourth as; economics or english? In the end I chose english language, do you think I have a good set? I'm planning to do history/politics degree at a good uni (hopefully) do you think what I've chosen is appropriate or do you think economics would be better? Thanks.

    Government & Politics AS
    French AS
    History (Modern) AS
    English Language AS
    Critical Thinking AS

I think they are both equally good options for you to pick to do History and Politics.
The most important thing is that you enjoy learning the subject

Economics would have given more of a mix. If I were you I'd f picked it. But if I were you I wouldn't have picked any of your subjects.

I am sure what you've picked will be fine. But you better like writing.

Personally I think you've chosen a great combination!

You’ve got your main subjects - Politics and History - alongside Englsih which is another respected subject.

Having a second language under your belt is always seen as an added bonus. And universities see it as a good subject.

And finally Critical thinking which shows your ability to be logical and think for youself.

I wouldn't worry about not taking economics - it would give more variety (as above) but i think the subjects youve got are fine anyway for what you want to study at uni.
