I will also be travelling from either Notting Hill Gate Station or Ladbroke Grove. Should be from 9 to 10 stops and about 25 minutes or so to get there. Probably going to end up getting a monthly pass.

Also, when you go to City be sure to get a Student Photocard form which will entitle you to a 30% discount on weekly, monthly travelcards and bus passes.

thankz mate do u buy your monthly travel cards directly from the british underground or from newsagents and other ppl...???

Depends which one i'm normally close to. But I usually get them from my local newsagent.

Well.. I`ll be commuting to City University via train toooo.. I've found out that I have to get to farringdon station first and then walk from there..

I have this really bad gut feeling i`ll end up catching the wrong train! I've had that horrible experience in the underground whilst going to QueenMary Before ! =(

how long does it take to get from luton to city?

well the route i've chosen will take about 1 hour and 16 minutes.

58 minutes to get to farringdon (direct route from Luton).
Then 18 minutes to walk from farringdon to City Uni..

well thats according to journey planner: http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk

but there are faster trains that'll take me to Farringdon within 38 minutes. - Times vary for these faster trains though.

my commute from willesden green will take me about 50 minutes, which is a shame considering how far (or close) the campus actually is. ah well .... that's public transport for ya.

crash at friends place or wait for the tubes to open or take a night bus... i am one of those few ppl who cant afford both a night out and a cab back home....

hey.. to get to Farringdon from Luton its going to cost me

STANDARD DAY RETURN
£23.90

but I remember when going to Queen Mary I bought a one day travel card. I could use it on the tubes as well as the national rail.. I think it was 12.70 or thereabouts.

am I missing something?
