sorry to hear you were rejected - especially from your 1st choice, but they are the ones losing out . Look at it wee bit more positively , university will be great anyway, all unis you have chosen are excellent , and any uni that rejects you is missing out on an excellent pupil
Xcuse comp style typies!

Predicted grades:
English Literature: A
History: A
Maths: A
(Geography AS: A)

Unis Applied to:
East Anglia (Offer BBB)
Exeter (Offer AAA - B*stards! lol)
Manchester (Offer AAB)
Southampton (Offer 360 points... 220 in any 2 A2s... B in Lit... think that works out at ABC with my A at AS level)
Warwick (nothin)
York (nothin)

Not been invited to interview at Warwick yet ... however, my form only went in at the end of November and I haven't yet been rejected. York is always slow apparently. Any ideas when I should hear from them??

I loved Othello! can't remember much of it now tho...
I really liked Howards End at first but it ended up really irritating me - we did it to death and the characters are annoying.

I found it incredibly boring, conservative, women's views written by a man - interesting. To me this was more of a contextual piece of literature than something that stood out on its own most r written in context, but i felt more drawn into capitalism than complicated relationships .
Only my views :P
After watching LOTR again :P i didn't really enjoy it :/, but anyone thing its like Romantic period lit.?

Well once i received my offer from UCL, which was before Warwick, that was my first. Plus, i was only prepared to take out a loan (to live away) for Cambridge..

Anyway i applied for the American and English Lit course, which was good, but Warwick is pretty much a bubble-dead town..

Texts i study at A2, got quite a modern focus:

Emily Dickinson poetry
Tempest
Great Gatsby
Comparison of Who's afraid of Virginia woolf and Streetcar named desire for coursework
Unseen critical appreciation exam... 20th American literature
