Hello, I didn't know where to post this really.
Does anybody know any good chemistry books to read that are NOT text books? I want to do some extra reading for when I apply to Uni.
    Thanks.

I'm not sure about text books, but you could try the magazine 'Chemistry Review' - it has articles about chemistry related stuff and also has exam tips. You might be able to order it through your school or read it at the library...most will have it. Hope this helps!

I enjoyed The Shocking History of Phosphorus when I read it

If you're interested in the biochemical side of things, "Magic Molecules" is very good

I think those are the two I enjoyed most.

"Molecules at an exhibition" is a really good read! It's on our school reading list, but was really fun too.

There are some great general interest chemistry texts out there. I must second the recommendation of "The Shocking History of Phosphorous" - excellent read.
