i know it might sound a bit ott, but id go to the doctors about it. Theres alot of people coming down with chest infections and flu like symptoms from around my patch of the world. Might be a case of some antibiotics and if not least you know your not dying, unlike my dad who thinks hes on his death bed.

I had Pholcodeine for mine, and it was gone within a few days. Hope you feel better soon

gotta love mums  . i think the doc will be able to guide you towards over the counter meds since they are likely to be cheaper than a prescription.

I hope so, this has been going on for far too long! :frown: The stuff the pharmacist recommended is rubbish though!

Buckley's  Their ad campaign says it all "it tastes awful and it works" - it really does work miracles if you manage to swallow it. Feel better.

I used the boots label stuff, tasted a bit gross but worked quite well. Hope you feel better

If you've had it for a week I would advise you to go to the doctors. I had a chest infection and pleurisy not to long ago and I was so ill :bawling: It started with a chesty cough then got worse. It might be that you need antibiotics to get better. Hope you're feeling better soon hunny :hugs:

Buttercup syrip is for tickly, throaty coughs! Thats why it hasn't worked! Benadryl I think its called...that's good. Worked for me!
