i HATE veet wax strips!

just got some wax veet srtips(those cold ones you warm up in your hands) and tried my bikini line! owwww it hurt more than anything ever in the entire world including when i broke my arm, there is a tiny bit of hair on the strip but it barely worked AT all, the whole top of my leg is a big red and blue bruise and sooo painful! stupid "wax virgin" adverst and thier lies lies, i then (after rebuilding some courage) tried them on my legs, it hurt *almost* as much and removed NO hair, and agian left red and bruising! Guess i will have to throw the rest of the pack away! and those stupid soothing after care strips just sting and make it worse and don't remove any wax.

i've tried home waxing with the same dismal results (no pain though)

to be honest its easier, quicker, cleaner and generally better to go to a professional

it's not that expensive - i get my legs done for £15 every now and then - it lasts longer than shaving

i went and got my bikini line done probessionally today! she uses beeswax! doesnt hurt one bit and its easier!
EDIT and costs £5 for bikini line, and £12 for legs, £15 for both where i go!

Veet wax strips are a bit sucky to be honest. I either epilate, shave or go for a professional.

I do want to try the purple nair wax stuff though....its supposed to be quite good.

I used veet and found that it did hurt like hell, but then i also went to a professional and it still hurt like hell although i felt better going to a professional as it removed much more than the strips.

Reply 9

please explain the process of epilation to me (cost, time consumation, how long it lasts, pain etc) ta

i found that. I used to think they worked really well, but they seemed to have gone all crap now :frown: i much prefer someone professionally doing my legs.

i have a surplus of cold wax veet strips in my draw - tried one on bikini line and it didnt take anything off, just left me with a sticky muff. :frown:

As i have stressed already on other threads - I hate Veet cold wax strips too - we should create an angry mob and get them shut down for unnecessary torture of innocent bikini lines! :viking: :fight: :ridinghor :damnmate: (like the mob?)

Yep, totally agree! ive already revealed my nightmare with them on a previous thread- they left me with an unsightly sore, red mark and after all that pain and bother, only took 2 hairs off?!!! Wtf, why did I even bother?!
i say jsut let it grow... or more realistically, shave/get it done professionally :p:

Reply 15

omg they are so rubbish! waste of a fiver or however much they were.

Reply 16

wax strips hurt like hell, as do the epilators, i love the veet razor-less foam, it lasts around 2-3 days, but its worth it

Reply 17

those wax strips didn't work for me either. just threw them away in the end. I just shave now

Reply 18
