hey!

just wondering if anyone elce has recieved their tennancy letter thingy. The odd thing is that ive got mine via email? has n e one elce......i got sent it twice aswell for some reason......im a bit worried now?! When everyone else has got theirs, if you get it through the post can u let me know whats in it so i know what im ment to have got, just incase i havent got all parts of it!

Im really confused, i dont know why ive got it all via email?! :confused:

Ive got my flat number, started to read though the hundreds of pages of tennancy stuff (not literally 100s, but it seems like that!) and have found it! ......how exciting!! woohoo......please please let me know if you are in the same flat, i so hope someone is........i think that they should tell you who you are sharing with i wanna no if im in a mixed flat or not?!...

god only knows y i got mine via email....i think it was coz i wrote them a snotty email the other week saying how they were leaving it all to the last minute, and how we need to know! you should try it! seemed to work!

I feel I need to warn you about unite.

I'm a now second year vet student at rvc and know what you're currently going through waiting to start your first year lol :smile:

Unfortunately, I lived too closed to London to be offered any halls of residence, but lived far enough away for them to understand I couldn't commute in every day. Last year, the college had a *deal* with unite where they had 100 places (or something like that) to offer vetmed and vetsci people that hadn't got into halls at their South Tottenham accomodation, one of which I was offered.

When I moved in it all seemed great, and my flatmates were all on my course and seemed a great laugh :smile:

. The problems then started....

Station Court (The accomodation) was a new building opening that year, so we expected a few teething problems. Not power cuts on 2 weekends in a row....one being from 6:20am - middayish and then again, on the same day, from 15:30 to 19:30.

The other thing we had problems with was the broadband service. It ended up being a month late being installed due to various problems. We moved in the middle of September and broadband wasn't even available until the middle of October anyway, so we weren't too pleased about that. And when it did finally come it wasn't running at the speeds it should of done.

Although it might not seem like it, I'm not trying to put you off moving into the unite halls as these may be completely different as all the rooms are to let to vet students where as station court wasn't, but as you said you were thinking unite was slow, I thought I'd warn you about the potential problems you may encounter.

If there's anything else you wanna know about the college or anything let me know. I suspect you've all got your timetables through already and I can tell you now it's very similar to the one I had so if you want to know anything just ask :smile:

Im really pleased that ure close, i recon that happened coz they may have seen that we live close together-woohoo!! Let me know when you are moving in and we will have to meet up on our 1st nites go for a drink or summut.....ill probs move in on the monday of the tuesday (19th/20th). Im please ill be near someone i know!

Wooo, got my stuff emailed yesterday (after a handy txt reminder by the way).
I'm in room F, flat 326, block B. So excited. Still don't know what I'm bringing. Working up till the 17th and moving on the 22nd so have a few days to umm... do everything. :biggrin:
