It has not closed yet but it is only a matter of time imo. They have closed all but one undergraduate course and they already have a seperate postgraduate campus. I heard that they were eventually going to sell it to a housing developer. Shame as Wye is such a pretty little village and the Wye campus is huge

wye is lovely! My mate lives there and the college campus is lovely aswell! where do u live then? do u live near?

wow, i just read all of that. ten minutes ago i really wanted to go to kings to do english, and now i still do. There's always going to be a sense of rivalry between UCL and kings and i think it's healthy cos it means that ppl are pushing for thier uni's standards to be improved in order to beat the other uni, that's good!
also they're both relatively good, any1 who gets into either uni is pretty lucky compared to a lot of ppl our age in england who dont have a chance of getting in really.
the higher the offer the better the uni.

Total and utter *******s.

thats true i applied to both KCL and UCL for french. my offer for UCL was much higher and i didnt get in but i looked at the league tables for french and kings was top 4, where as i didnt see ucl in the top ten at all.

because grades are linked to demand....
This thread is so funny. Why is it that I always see Kings students trying so hard to convince everyone that their uni is good. It is good, but no offense, Kings seems to be allergic to The Times top 10. Imperial is good, very good, but full of nerds. You'll come out with a great degree though. Oh, but what they have done with the Wye campus is just disgraceful. Many people who study there seem to have been swept under the carpet, whilst the really clever dudes go to South Kensington. How can you trust an insitituion that does that?

I cant really comment on LSE, but once again, I hear its full of nerds. I know someone who is very unhappy there. UCL appears to have the balance right. It has a great atmosphere, happy students and you come out with a great degree. Im hoping to do postgrad there.

That just about says it all really, I will dismiss that statement on account of it being ridiculous.

You're dismissing the statement due to it being ridiculous? Wait, i've got an idea; let's compile a new league table and name it The Ramroff University League Table
The Ram-U-Tables?

Sounds good.

I am dismissing it because the Guardian is known to have some of the most ridiculous tables on the planet. Granted, you shouldn't base your entire decisions on a set of tables and this includes the Times' as well but scoring unis higher points just because they have more ethnic minorities or more state schoolers or whatever ridiculous method the Guardian uses does not mean they are higher up the table. The Times bases most of its tables on academic qualities not stupid socioeconomic ones like the Guardian and even though there are a few positions in the former's tables I don't agree with, they are far more respected.
So you can chuck your Guardian Tables where no one has ever been, in your pants
I always thought you were a mod, Ramroff.

The guardian league tables are a joke, even by league table's poor standards of classification!
