rant about kings' reputation

oxbridge is the ONLY good university

well a ucas point offer is a joke it doesnt say what subjects you have to study, you could apply for history, drop it, do french maths and biology get AAA and get in, or you could get in on duke of edders or perhaps music grades anything. ucas offfers are rubbish

are you for real?! you do A levels to get the skills to specialise, if anybody did comp sci without A level maths its stupid, its not specialising its lying to peoepl that they have the same grades, how are core subjects random? why dont oxbirge accept BTEC's why do they only accept A levels and IB, i mean its "equivelent" right? your equally prepared.

For someone who seems to know so much about Math's courses, he doesn't seem to know how to count

the point is, yes, tktaylor, you got it correct! that its rubbish that kings is accepting people with BBC/BCC/whatever it is into their math courses!!

Half the nimrods on a BSc comp sci year one know nothing about computing compared to the people that had done the BTEC in comp sci previously.

Yet more and more Oxbridge students find themselves without jobs after graduation, maby because these students like yourslef think that reputation is everything and therefore do nothing else but work to get into and then get a degree from Oxbridge. Like I said before a uni's reputation isn't everything. If all you are good for is work and therefore don't have any social attributes etc then an employer is going to be less likely to offer you a job than say someone from Kings who is fairly smart but also have great social attributes such as TEAM working skills etc.
