changing accommodation

any idea how hard it is to transfer at this stage?? whats the process??

hey. I got into contact with them about changing rooms, and they basically said that its not possible. They said its likely to be possible in october(guess its cause people have dropped out or whatever), but said that would be earliest time. I couldnt really see point of planning to move them, unless your really unhappy, as you'll of already got to know your flat mates and that. But that was what they told me in the email. Just try emailing accommodation office.

I phoned them up just now and was pretty much told the same. Wasn't worth arguing, he basically said "you can't change accommodation until October". Oh well. :frown:

What I really can't understand is I've seen people saying they've been put in self-catering when they don't want to be, and I've had the opposite. I even saw someone say they wanted Owens Park and got Oak House, well I got the opposite. I wonder if you can find someone who wants to swap then you can.

if you can find someone to swap its more likely. best time to move is after christmas break if you can stick it out for a term.

screwin!! i got hardy farm which seems to be miles out from any other student accommodation!!! when i emailed them i was told i could transfer to ownes park. however i aint really lookin for a catered hall and i pretty much have to have a ;parking space and interenet access whihc is a no no with owens park!! Im going to try and email them again t see what they can do, if you dont ask you dont get i suppose
