Rootes - which block's which?

I wonder if any current students could help me out here...

It says I'm in Rootes J-P, is that New Rootes or Old Rootes?

hey, reading old posts, I think that A-I is old Rootes, and J-P is new Rootes

Just thought I'd confirm what PhoenixSTL said: A-I is Old Rootes and J-P is New Rootes. Though I think I is technically "International House" which is a little bit separate from Old Rootes (and is not necessarily for international students!).

ROOTES!!!! hurray, first choice, mine didnt say where i am! i'll just turn up on the day and have a wonder around then! so happy! but a quick question just looked on the warwick website as im trying to sort out enrolment, im rubbish at this stuff! but it said the form was only available from the 12th of septemeber, is that right or am i really really worse at computer stuff than i thought! see you in rootes guys! xxxx

How do you know which block you're in? From what I see it just says Rootes on my page :eek:

Click on the arrival instructions and scroll through to the end. There will be a big grey page which says if you are A-I or J-P.

you need to accept the agreement and the click on the arrivals link.

and don't worry, enrollment is on the 12th!

I prefer old to be honest. New has really long corridors though- kinda cool as you meet loads of people (less doors too though which makes for easier fly posting/annoying people :smile:

).

In terms of accommodation standards though theres little if any difference between the two.

Old is so confusing though! Its like a crazy maze where you get lost and end up going round in circles and just end up sitting on the floor in tears because you just dont know what to do..

What?? You think?? Old Rootes is ok but hasn't been upadated in years (by the looks of it since it was built). The time i visitied it seemed cold and run down. New Rootes (Kirby Lodge at least, the one opposite the union) is much much nicer in terms of accommodation and the rooms were re-done last summer i think. I'm not sure if the other New Rootes block was updated though.
