Fickle Temperament

Before I begin, I'd like to clarify that I am not in a mental asylum nor do I take pills...nor am I pregnant...nor do I dress up as a crab or other sea creature in my free time.

Is it normal to have mood swings? Sometimes I'll just b*tch someone out for no reason, and at others times I'll feel completely apathetic.

Right now, in general, l feel apathetic to everything in my life. I don't dislike it, but I don't like it either...is this normal?

I suppose so..depends how your hormones levels are at the moment... and also what envirnment you're in. But in general, those type of swings should have calmed down by now...
Are you eating properly? I mean, do you eat enough and a balanced diet? Ie. enough protein and vitamins?

I don't know. I eat whatever I want and never exercise....I just eat when I feel like it...hehe...

Are you sure diet really affects this that much?

Right now I am living at university on campus and somewhat feel suffocated because well.. I don't know. I feel bored often although there are things to do....

Diet I'd say was much more of a cause than most other factors... I seem to be the only one to think this, but i'm sure if you eat properly and get out in the fresh air... play some ball. Ball sports are best for relieving tension.
Do you feel pressure from any particular person?

Hmm probably my best friend--we're in a fight. He's miserable and he's making me miserable. Um, I don't like my father...yeah..I don't know...

I guess I could exercise--although it usually wears me out a lot and then all I end up doing is exercising and sleeping.......I did dance for a while where I practiced a couple hours a day--it was pretty intense.

Wait, so smoking pot is not a solution eh?

You're 18 darlin, it'll be hormones! I remember when I was that age, one minute I could feel really friendly and loving, but the next I could feel like being a complete bitch, and got annoyed and frustrated over the stupidest little thing. It's normal and I'm sure everyone feels like that sometimes, try not to worry!

It is normal!! The exact same thing happened to me all through the beginning of summer, my poor boyfriend didn't know what to do with me. It'll wear off when your hormones settle down.

But steady eating and sleeping patterns definitely help. Being tired really really doesn't help matters, nor does being hungry or eating junk food all the time.

i'm supposedly a grown-up now, but i still have the odd mood swing. sometimes i get in a rage at random stuff and i'll just ring my bloke up and rant. then a bit later he'll send me a text saying 'is it safe yet?...'!

Perhaps you should see a doctor, to me that doesn't sound normal.

Edit: maybe give up alcohol, that's a depressant.

hah is this a joke? You make me sound like an alcoholic.

I don't drink alcohol---bad for skin and could give me a heart attack..

Maybe you're stressed out or tired? When you're relaxed you can think things through better, you don't make quick and therefore bad judgements that later need changing.
