theres a shop on campus for things like bread, chocolate, n pop etc. but i think the nearest big supermarket is morrisons in town

If you're going to be buying fruit and veg a market may be cheaper and nicer. Though it depends on how long you're planning to keep it. I've heard the corn exchange is good.

inside the corn exchange is just clothes, music etc shops, no food shops. although there is a market down near the corn exchange which may be the one northumbrian is refering to. it looks very cute inside tho

Not at all! I bought a Ken Hom wok set and smiled all the way home!

I was wondering if flats usually end up with 6 salt and pepper sellers, 6 garlic crushers, 6 potato peelers, 6 chees graters etc?

There is a morrisons about ten minutes walk away its where ive been transfered too
