Who are more likely to cheat men or women?

Just interested to see if i'm just unlucky or its just generally Girls that can be unfaithfull alot. Ive been in about 6 relationships all of which not really lasting much longer than a couple of months. And in every relationship ive been in ive either had my gf use me to make someone jealous or in the majority of cases they have cheated on me. The worst case when my gf actually slept with one of my best m8s (when he didnt know i was going out with the girl) and then didnt tell me and i was left to find out off my friend, obviously i wasnt best too pleased. Any ways ive been in about 6 relationships and 4 of the 6 girls cheated on me. Am i just unlucky, or is there something up with girls in general which makes them cheat or is there something wrong with me?.

I don't think it's a gender thing, but judging from the male and female friends I have, I'd say men.

I think men don't attach as much emotion to sex as women, in general. Obviously that doesn't apply across the board, it's just the general impression I get.
So maybe that makes it easier for men to cheat, because they don't see it as such a big deal as women do?

I would say that men are just as likely to cheat as are women. With the women, she usually bags the best friend or the brother. The man usually gets a random biatch, the sister or the best mate.

I'd say men. It's probably partially primitive instincts - men are programmed to sew their oats so to speak whereas woman are supposedly more loyal.

But still, there are extremes within both genders.

If I'm being honest, I don't know anyone who would cheat. It's the media which brainwashes people that one sex will out-cheat another!! MEN AND WOMEN ARE AS BAD AS EACHOTHER, as lessthanthree said, it's people , not labels and stuff!

It's all very well being politically correct and whatever, and saying that both sexes are as bad as each other, but as LucyMP said, in evolutionary terms men have an instinct to sow their seed as widely as possible, wheras women, as the bearers of the valuable eggs and incubators of the young, can be more picky about who they take as a mate!

i'd say women, not cause i'm a man, but cause i read this article in the independant a while back, and they said that females of most species are more likely to cheat than those of the males because by sleeping with more males, they encourage genetic diversity; and by sleeping with the strongest/best suited to survive male, they ensure the survival of the species.

With all fairness i'm male and like every male i have sexual urges to just sleep around. However despite what some women think it doesnt mean i will, i would never consider cheating on someone even if i wasnt getting a sexuual connection out of the relationship. Maybe ive got the wrong ideaabout women and the girls ive been out with have hardly advitised the female sex too well, but it seems to me like alot of girls these days will cheat on people because people do have the impression women wont cheat and therefore its easiar to get away with it. Where as if your male your almost expected to cheat to a certain aspect and will get faulsely accused.

First of all shows that if not now then certainly in the past men cheated more. And secondly, I think when considering cheating in teenagers, it's going to be different cos there's no marriage bond so more primitive urges can come out.

out of my friends tho the females cheat an awful lot more than the men, just simply because they can, no real reason...
