i think you ask the school and they ask the exam board for a remark. you have to pay, but if they discover they've marked it incorrectly, whether higher or lower, you get a refund. you may as well get a remark as even if they've marked your exam higher its unlikely it will be lowered enough to take it down a grade. good luck :p:

sorry to hijack but is there anyway you can get your coursework remarked on its own for double science (edexcel)?

I think the school has to ask for the whole year's coursework to be remoderated if an invidivudla's marks need to be checked. (Don't quote me on this). Try typing in ''GCSE coursework remoderation'' into the search engine on the exam board's website and see what it produces.

Also, it is worth noting that not everyone's coursework is sent to the examiner - he/she picks a sample at random, so if your cw mark is lower than expected, then it might be worth asking your teacher to see if this was their professional judgement. If this is the case and the examiners have issued you with a grade I'm not sure what you could do about it - there's bound to be some level of enquiry though.
