I would say so yes, being brought up in a town where anyone wearing anything is called a chav...

Depends on the colour, what you look like, and what you wear it with. If you are obviously not a chav, and are wearing stylish jeans & shoes, I think they look cool! Especially retro/bright colours!

Reply 3

yes. addidas/nike/reebok/anything else that sounds remotely lame=chavvy.

I wear Adidas trainers. I have one or two Nike t-shirts. I'm not a chav.

 Ignore this! Of course the retro stuff can be cool.

Reply 7

Adidas can't be that chavvy if Stella McCartney & Oki Ni design ranges for them - the retro stuff is cool.

Reply 8

It all depends on how u wear it, the individual product, ur natural style, wot ur general appearence is...u cant generalise about something as important in socienty as a chav

Reply 9

I wouldn't wear them, but i've got no beef against them.

And no, wearing Adidas doesn't make you a chav. Clothes *don't* define your personality/social status.

well is a bright blue coloured jacket- with all the adidas old skool styling...i thought i might wear a clashing bright pink t underneath...possibly with a denim skirt (fairly short with a frayed hem)...nt too sure bout shoes tho  ...any ideas?

Reply 11

I think they're nice

Reply 12

If you like it, buy it, I'm sure it's cool.

Reply 13

I just wore a bight yellow Nike raincoat for my D of E and I'm not chav. I just looked completely ridiculous, still they had no excuse if they lost me!

Reply 14

The retro ones are not chavy cus you usualy have to pay more for them so the chavs dont buy em, but if you see it in a sale or less than £20 stay away cus its more than likely that a chav has bought one

Reply 15

Some of the retro stuff can be bloody expensive as well.

i think chavs tend to buy the overpriced stuff- like £150 trainiers- but im probaly wrong...they most probably steal it

You must be referring to 'vintage' Adidas. This is acceptable- but comes at a price. Available at exclusive places, ie Selfridges, Harvey Nicks, it costs around £250 for a tracksuit. And rather fab they look, aswell.

Ok, but you obviously are yet to see the range i'm talking about. Which is vintage. This is the range that Stella McCartney and Phoebe Philo have guest-designed for.
