Now the official TSR Kinks Society...click here to join
The Kinks are one of the greatest British bands ever. Formed in Muswell Hill, North London, they went on to produce some of the best music of the 1960s and 1970s and influencing later groups such as Blur and Oasis. So are there any other Kinks fans on TSR?
Excellent songs

I got the wrong impression when you said "Kinks", I was thinking of something else.

I love The Kinks! Struggle to name my favourite songs, since there are so many. I like Sunny Afternoon, You Really Got Me (obviously!), A Well Respected Man and Shangri-La a lot. I guess those are my absolute favourites!

I don't think I listen or know enough about them to join a society but I have to say that Waterloo Sunset is one of my favourite songs of all time
My music teacher played it to me and I remember smiling for ages, still makes me smile in that same way

Surely a more fitting name would be "The Village Green Preservation Society"?

I love the Kinks. Everything but especially Village Green album. Johnny Thunder, lives on water, feeds on lightnin'!

In short, I'm in.

The Kinks are good!
I only got into them last week after seeing Ray Davies at a festival!
He played some kinks songs which were awesome although im still not sure which ones are just his and which ones are the kinks but nevermind!

You're a Pink Floyd and Kinks fan eh?

Anyway whence springs this sudden enthusiasm for the Kinks on your part - did a listening of Days sudden touch you more deeply than before? Did you think you spied Ray Davies walking his dog? Or has the Kinks society been simmering in your heart for some time now, waiting to break free?

We might not agree on much in D&D, but I'm glad we can get on over here

The Kinks get nowhere near enough attention, I prefer them to the Beatles for that era of music but not many others share that view.
