if you can afford it, the gym
If you're willing to use the uni gym and make the mostof your membership then go for it, or maybe use the video, depends how serious you are at keeping fit, or how much exercise you need to do i suppose.

I know people who spent £100 odd on a gym membership and went like twice  if you have someone to go with then I guess you have excuses to go.

i need to do 1/2 hour a day otherwise the weight piles on. I think I'll stick to a dvd as it sounds as though I won't have enough time to go to the gym. |Can anyone reccomend something that isn't too intense? I've just recovered from glandular fever and I don't want to wear myself out!

probably better to join the gym tho.. because you can jus imagine urself 3/4 months down the line chucking the dvd in a corner.. whereas if u get a gym partner or a lot people together, then you are more likely to be exercising for a few more efficient hours and also you will feek guilty wasting money on membership, so you will spend more time in the gym....

then again wait a couple of weeks into uni, before finding out whether the gym hours will fit into ur daily/weekly routine.

The gym at uni will probably have some classes you could go to, like step aerobics or something! If not, Pump It Up (ministry of sound) is a very good workout dvd!

Well I can be strict with myself when it comes to food. I'm going to try a DVD to begin with cos my course is quite intense....Monday-Thursday 9-4 and then I've got a year's worth of school experience over the 3 years to do. I heard pump it up was good too!

Yeh there are two, i have the first one with the people from the "call on me" video - its fun and the musics good! And you can do it in sections, so if you dont have much time its ideal

Join a sports team. It's social, keeps you fit and is lots of fun.

There's a good deal on amazon, pump it up and a carmen electra one for toning up for £20. Hmmm sounds like a plan.

Lol not really, you'll be drinking alot more, eating alot more junk food, all this will make you gain weight rather than lose weight.

Wake up early in the morning, do a 30min run in a local park or around the uni area, walk fast for 30 minutes a day, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, buy a set of dumbbells and do weight lifting 3 times a week, do all that and you'll keep the pounds off.
I go to the gym at least 3 times a week at the minute and I'm going to when I go to uni as well... I was going to take my bike but when I saw the hill I am going to be living on I decided against it

Why don't you take up Yoga? That'll keep you in shape and supple as well as keeping you chilled when you're stressing over uni work!
