Cricket at QMUL

After checkin out www.qmsu.org i was unimpressed to find no cricket club at Queen Mary's. On the back of the Ashes i wouldn't think there would be any problem findin players, so who's up for some Cricket followed by Pimms and cucumber sandwiches?

Absolutely! Right on old chum. Some right-arm medium pace coming your way...

PS Can't find a Conservative Society either. We have to unseat Galloway somehow, no matter how good he is at public speaking.

Well i don't think we have a Freddie Flintoff in the team who can do just about everything! We need more players!

We can do that once we get to uni. We can stick up a notice on notice board for new players or somthing.
its not possible to have a cricket society because there is no point. firstly u cant play other uni's in the winter. when the summer does arrive, its during exam times so no one will be able to make it! plus with the number of people in our uni anyway, it would require a lot of effort to set one up and there would be like 6 qmul teams. JUST STICK TO FOOTBALL, I SEE U LOT AT THE TRY OUTS!!

I wouldn't quite call it impossible to have a cricket team, there are plenty of uni's that have them. But shall be tryin for the footie team as well, so shall just have 2 juggle my time

we used to play cricket all round year when we were in school, so we manage to find some people, make a team and organize some tournaments then it shudn be a problem  i can see lotsa interested people jus here in TSR, shud find more in UNI
u can play cricket in school all year round but this is uni, somehow i cant see qmul vs ucl in our crappy sports hall which only has 2 badminton courts!! u could like organise ur own tournments and stuff, that wouldnt be a problem , what i was tryin to say is ULU who organise these competitions between unis havent got a cricket league!!
