I have the world's best cookbook.

And I make the world's best macaroni cheese.

But perhaps I should expand my culinery repertoire.
macaroni cheese?!cool-luv it haven got a clue 2 make it.
*is hintin she would like 2 b cooked some*

i can make curry!
Ooh, what kind of curry? I don't like the really hot ones, but the milder ones are really nice. I like chicken korma and lamb rogan josh and that Thai green one best.

Macaroni cheese is an absolute doddle to make.

You melt a bit of butter in a pan on a very low heat and then add some flour. Stir it until all the flour is mixed in, then gradually add some milk, stirring it bit by bit so it completely amalgamates before you put the next bit in. Then bring it to the boil. When it's boiling, bring the temperature down, let it simmer and add the grated cheese. Taste it - if it's not cheesy enough for you, add some more. The main thing is to keep stirring it all the time, otherwise it will go lumpy.

You should put the pasta on before you make the sauce, then it will be cooked by the time the sauce is ready.

When the sauce is ready, drain the pasta and chuck in the sauce, mix around really well and put in an oven proof dish. I like to add bits of ham and frozen peas. Then grate some cheese over the top and stick in a hot oven until it's gone all golden.

Yummy.

It's really easy, honestly. I'll give you a copy of the proper recipe if you like. It's in my wonderful cookbook.
thanx!def. want a copy!-actually ill print it off!

alt. method-go to tesco.take basket 2 frozen food aisle. carefully transfer ready meal mc n cheese 2 basket.

as 4 the type of cury...idont have a clue what its called. jus the ones that my mum has taught me 2 make!ill show u wen we get there!
I'll hold you to that!

I am far too cheap to buy ready meals. I'm the one standing in Sainsbury's going, "Two quid??? I'm not paying two quid for that! Bugger that!"

You can get butter, flour, milk and cheese for less than the cost of a ready meal, and it will last much longer, so it's definitely worth learning to make, especially since it's so easy!

I'm thinking this would be a good way to bond with people actually. "Come to my flat on Tuesday and I'll teach you to make macaroni cheese. Then I'll go to yours on Thursday and you can teach me how to make curry."

Sorted. Much more sociable and fun than figuring it out on your own!

Well - I'll have three years of self-catering anyway after the catered hall. So I will learn.
Better to learn in the year when none of your work actually counts and you're not under any pressure, IMO. :p:

Cooking's easy, and great fun  Our flat didn't do it much last year, but the year it each of us cooked a flat meal once in every week or two - that way you get five meals cooked at the expense of doing one yourself

What r u doing for all the other fancy dress nights? I think i've got it sorted, but i'm scared!

Lol yeah, you would certainly make an entrance wouldn't you!

I got a little white pleated skirt from topshop sale for the tennis hoes and golf pros party..which i'll wear with a strappy white top or something and a visor that my mum found for 50p. Bargain.

School uniform is pretty easy - black skirt and white shirt, with my old school tie, hair in bunches etc. I'm planning on wear my knee length black boots -or is that a bit too slaggish?!

James Bond night - a black dress with a blue design on it...its kinda chinesy and according to my mum looks quite james bond ish, but like you i've never watched one of the movies so wouldn't have a clue either! But if all the blokes are going to be in tuxes/suits, i'm not complaining

Ermm and I think thats it for fancy dress isn't it?! I've spent way too much on clothes for uni..but i think most girls are guilty of that aren't they?!
i dont av a clue what bond girls wear, but i do have a bikini looks just like halle berrys! lol no chance! i have a short black dress so maybe that will doi....i got no idea ill improvise. I have a short white skirt/white vest top for the tennis one, tho no raquet. Iv got a skool sorta outfit really just shirt n a skirt will do. As for the ball, i got a prom type dress but am worried its a bit too much, ill see what everyone else wears first.
