So has anybody else applied to or been accepted at The Spinney? Anyone put it as a second or third choice? Anyone been there and want to give advice? I know threads like this exist, but tough!

I'm going to be living in House 3, Room 5 (I think I got that right) and I'll be doing History. Let me know.

Social centre is pretty crap, grounds are really nice though. Shops aren't exactly handy, Harborne is about 15 mins walk away.
Location aside it's a good spot in general, some of the uni housing areas are absolute dives.

Haha, what's so bad about it?
I got offered Shackleton but I changed it to this.. Hopefully the £2,500+ saving is worth it! It's nearer the med school which is good because extra time in bed is very important to me.

This year the whole of the spinney is undergraduate accommodation, I rang up about it.

Haha! I know, I got really stressed about it...
'I don't even look very old.. I WON'T FIT IN!'
etc.

Yeah, medicine! How about you?

Hi everybody!
I've been accepted in The Spinney. I'm a bit disappointed because I wanted to be in Maple Bank and it's too expensive =(
I've heard a lot of bad things about this hall, is it true?
I'm an Erasmus student by the way, do you know if they are others international students living there?
If you have pictures I would like to see them =)

Hi, this is the first time Spinney's been UG, so that's why it's hard to find much stuff about it (because Postgrads seem to be really quiet).

Pritchatts is a lovely area, closer to any shops than the Vale (Harborne 10 mins with a choice of shops) and it's closer to Campus (especially the Med School).

I lived on Pritchatts this year and loved it, the Social was always really lively when I went (which was most nights ) and Pritchatts nights out are always massive.

If you're on Facebook, check out the Pritchatts Park group (and we might just convince you it's a good place to be!)

It seems like a lovely place from looking around, but I guess it's all really what you make of it. I have to admit having gas hobs really clinched it for me!
