Is There An Error From Jan Results watch

    In january 2010 I did sociology unit1
    when i got my grades back i got 35 which was an E
    I have just looked online and the grade boundaires for 35marks is infact a B can anyone help me understand so im not going insane

    I did that exam - Family and households right? I got 68 Marks which is an A so I don't think 35 is a B - Sorry

    Easily. All raw marks are converted to UMS which is a standardised score. OP, you are mixing up raw marks and UMS. It is likely that you got a lot less than 35 marks in the exam to get 35 UMS.

    you got 35 ums ,NOT 35 marks. you are only given your ums on the sheet your school gave you. And the person with 68 got 68 ums points NOT 68 marks if it was only out of 60 im pretty sure the website is fine.

    If you dont really understand mark to ums conversion then you must be quite dumb.

    ok thanks guys for your help, i didnt have a clue what ums mark was!
    i just thought the mark on my resuslts sheet was the mark we got
    oh well hope i done bloody better in the retake
