So do you not feel you got the education you wanted from the university??

Not at all.

Do you feel this was down to the running of the uni? You would have been there while it merged - that must of disrupted things a bit?

The main factors I would attribute to it (not in any order) the lectures, the fact they let anyone into study regaurdless of academic ability & the faciltiies. Plus admin issues but that's more of an after complication rather than whilst you are there.

What course did you do?

Mass Communications joint with Digital Media - from the Social Sciences faculty.
Make of that what you will.

Have you been to Hackney before?
I wouldnt fancy it if I was moving to London for the first time, its pretty grimey.
I will be living in a flat with my mate in Hackney central.

No. This will be my 1st time in London. Excited and looking forward to it although i heard a lot of people said hackney is a rough area. My hall is on Well Street. Is that better than Hackney central?

Are teh leauge tables based on the uni as a whole or do they do indiviual subjects as well...?

If im not mistaken, it was times league table. I guess they are based on the whole uni. :tsr:

Well St is just off Mare St which is the road Hackney Central is on so yeah its worse than Hackney Central as you are going out of the regenerated area and into the ghetto. One of the teams I work at is just off Well St.

It will be easy to get to Holloway - just get a 253 or 254 to the Arcade then walk up.

Theres quite a lot of shootings in Hackney but its mostly just kids so its pretty self-contained.

Well that made for depressing reading. what grades where you asked for for your course, and what did you actually get to go there?

Sometimes it sort offeels lijke im wasting the work i did at college getting a DDM, to go to a course which asks for an MPP!!!! but it is a good course. Im quite good at making somthing out of nothing - and even though a fantastic uni would help - im always under the impression thigns can only get better. Its the coursei want to do, and where i want to be doing it.

Same. I want to do English Language, and I want to be in London. Not a lot else matters.

Indie, I am feeling the same as well! It kinda cheapens the hard work we put into our college education...I got DDM as well! And to be asked for MPP is insulting, I dread to think what kinda retards I'll get in my class lol!

Gosh, this really sounds a bit scary. Nevertheless, I will take bus most of the time and get back to my hall as early as possible.
