Quite frankly this is disgusting. I understand that people may not agree with Islam, but that dosent mean bigotry, intolerance or hostility needs to occur. They complain that muslim societies are unaccepting, backward and do not value human rights, yet they contradict this in their planned actions.

At least in Britain we know what is right and wrong. It seems that such Americans are even more backward than the islamic fundamentalists.

I think it's completely stupid that anyone would even contemplate this. A day based on hatred of another religion :sigh:

DEVILS ADVOCATE: Well Muslims do a lot worse things than that to people who don't agree with them.

Awesome! :awesome:

But really, how is this going to achieve anything really?

It's just going to fuel more religious tension. :sigh:

Considering that this is America, and not Afghanistan, and that in this supposedly superior country where human rights and democracy are placed before all else (as scribed in the declaration of human rights) this backward move pretty much imitates the mindset of Islamic extremists. Taken into context, the muslim population in America are nowhere near as arrogant or bigoted as these lot.

and before anyone goes raaaah 9/11 etc, that was an al qaida operation carried out by vulnerable american and european muslims, as was stated in the 9/11 review.

just having a discussion on the another thread about how the war on terror is essentially a war against two religions (although the fundamental reason is procuremnt of natural resouces and geo-politcal dominance)..

I'm not surprised at this... the american troops had biblical verses inscribed on their guns (recently removed as it put them at greater risk from taliban)...
The americans are more into their christian religions (which quite of few of them tend to go down the extremist route) than us lot in britain.....

I can see a lot of trouble kicking off it this event goes ahead!!!

Edit: I don't want any more people quoting me saying the same thing without reading things I've already replied to. Those engaged in a debate with me know what I said and will go on. Those who wish to debate now, read the quoted responses.

Hardly a shock. I mean seriously look at this guy. He just screams religious nutcase.

But seriously this will just cause even more religious tension and you can already tell there will be retaliation. I'm just waiting for "burn a bible day" now.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the thread, and basically a roll of daily mail headlines

I hope for your sake that this was irony/purposeful stupidity.
