So some of the postgrad masters courses I checked out, starts in September 2010 with our final exams in May/June 2011.

After our final exams, we have to do a thesis/dissertation, to be submitted in september 2011, and then graduate in Jan 2012.

My question is, after my postgrad masters course, I might consider doing an MBA. So does that mean I can only start my MBA in Sept 2012? Essentially wasting 1 year? Or can I start my MBA like after I submmited my these in sept 2011?

Well that depends on the exact date that you hand in your thesis and the start date of the MBA. It may be possible to overlap, but that's probably something you can work out once you've started the masters and are applying for MBAs.
