    hi guys!

i am moving to aberdeen from canada, and really need some help on figuring out accomdation. i have been offered a spot at elphinstone road, and have also put a deposit down on mealmarket (just to have some options). does anyone have any tips on which is better? any problems with unite? i'm also a postgrad, and wondering whichis better suited. or should i just scrap both and try to find private accomodation? thanks!

If it were me I'd go for Elphistone...it's right on campus, close to the library, and while the supermarket's are a small walk away (I used to go to Sainsbury's, which was a 10 min walk from campus), there is a Spar (small food store) 2 mins walk away.

I also despise Unite - they're overpriced, moneygrabbing and yeah...I just don't like them. lol.

Only downside to Elphistone is at least some (and possibly all) don't have a living room/den as such...there's a table in the kitchen and that's about it. Other than that, perfectly pleasant.

I'd chose Mealmarket, was at Spring Gardens, so simmilar distance from Uni - It's not much of a walk and helps wake oyu up.

You'll be ALOT better off for town, 5 minute walk literaly and if you like JP's it's on your doorstep, trust me it's one thing walking to uni for 9, but it's a world of pain trying to get home at 4AM when it's sub zero temperatures and you don't have your jacket.
