boredom is only the approximate homophone of a coffee plunger manufacturer.

taking things for granted is what can happen in relationships.

I think 3 months is the make or break point. You either know you want to continue or you finish it. After that, it just depends on how you feel. I dont think you should ever end a relationship just because its been going on for too long.

would you choose feeling loved but slightly "bored" over enfatuation with exitement?

1 year, 8 months, 25 days and counting...

I think as relationships get longer there can be phases of 'should we stay together or is it over?' and those are definitely make or break points.

Many women's magazines have studies the temporal locations of these "make or break" points. Kavanne's right, there can be phases of such deliberation but they are often only the mark of sanity, for love is comparable to madness.

If you persistently feel a general mundaneness then clearly you need to do something about the relationship or that person just isn't for you.

I know it's cringeworthy, but, follow your heart.

This happened to me last week.
After being with my boyf for almost 20 months/going to uni soon i started to think "hmmmmmm, do i want to get around a bit? I was really confused about what to do.
But then i experienced a metophorical cold shower and thought "shizzle, if i leave this relationship i will have no life left, no best friend, no comfort, (no chauffeur lol) and kinda snapped out of the mood. I think i mistook "settled" for "boredom".

Its all good now though.
A week.

hmm a week? lol
just feeling rather frustrated and argh at the moment, and worry that if i just wait to let it all pass, ill be settling for something less than i should be
but then again, im just a maniac :p:
3 years..and im not bored yet
17 months... and still not bored... have been through one major make / break a month or two ago, and we hung on, only just... we're as close as ever now though, things like that, if they don't break the relationship they tend to bring you closer together. Everything's fine and dandy now though

I'm normally easily bored though :p: first relationship where I haven't got bored... quite an achievement lol

how long can you be with someone before it starts to become mundane?
some people may of course not experience this
...but do you think it would be a sign to move on, or work through the problem? how do you decide?
very vague :p: sorry

Well things begin to seem "boring" after about 2 years in my experience. ( The entire relationship= 4 to 5 years...)
However, you develop a somewhat deeper, but not as thrilling bond and then it becomes morelike friendship. I guess it depends on the individuals though and if you were really 'meant to be.'

Yep..right now I'm not technically though..I was pretty young when we started.
Aye, kool, was just wondering, I mean like people change a lot from 13-18 I don't know anyone who's managed to keep a relationship from when they were that sort of age. S'all good though.

So you aren't goin out anymore?

Well, right now it's morelike an 'open relationship' as he puts it. We're still best friends though.
