The all NEW Exeter Applicants 2006/07 Thread!

Sadly, its an exchange programme so you can only pick out of the choices they give you. The place I'm at now is the most prestigious (and hard work :frown:

), but the Canadian universities looked fantastic - Victoria (look at the pictures on their website) and Carleton University in Ottawa.

I put quite a lot of American lit in my ps as well as mentioning a trip to New York, but I'm not sure about the other students on the course; I think they'll judge you on your individual merit and your potential to enjoy it out here.

Still nothing here. It's worse now I know people have English offers...I want one so I can relax and forget about uni for a while (all my other ones take forever apparently).

My friend's applied for English and has had nothing back except his SAQ and request for essays from Cam....apart from that, he has nothing (and is panicking!)

I cannot believe what a huge berk I am, I didn't realise the grades for Exeter were ABC for Geography so there will be huge mass phonecalls to UCAS tomorrow morning to try and alter my options and apply to Exeter!! I currently want to cry as I really didn't realise, I thought they were AAB!

I've heard of people getting ACD for geoggers!
It's strange because the department seems to be fairly good and v popular!

i got an offer for law - AAA - hooray!! i think it's ranked 1st on my list - bristol used to be my first choice but it sounds like a scary city and i really don't want to freak out every time a man walks by me on a street. exeter seems seriously cool and i'm really excited! i'm sure everyone who really really wants to go to exeter will get in - good luck!!

Durham are slooow. Due to the colleges, partly. When did you send off your application? I sent mine on 10th October, and they sent me a letter about a month later saying they hadn't got it until the 31st! And even then it takes forever. Good luck and congrats on Exeter!

yeh i sent off mine on the 13th October, and they sent me my confermation letter saying they got it on the 1st of Nov (!!!) ..still nothing... but no news is good news... right??? :eek:

Yeah dont worry, u may not even get some offers until right up to the deadline for sending your firm/insurance choices off..... although annoying, it did happen to one of my friends this year! so he wasnt sure whether he was going to get an offer for his uni he really wanted to go to or not... in the end he did, so it was all good!

Exeter's campus seems wonderful...And the mathematics departement too. Even though I pay four times more than all of you (I'm an "overseas" student who lives in a country that doesn't belong to the EU...Switzerland :angry:

), Exeter's probably gonna be my first or second choice. My ucas form's gonna be sent tomorrow...Wish me luck :biggrin:
