Our boiler has just been condemned by the emergency gas engineer. It's rather scary when your carbon monoxide alarm goes off then the emergency gas engineer answers the question 'is it bad?' with 'someone could have been dead in the morning...' No hot water or heating. Woo!

Our landlady's crap. Still, the lovely heating man came this morning, reassured us everything's fine, and turned the boiler back on. So we're warm and not going to get gassed to death. Result all round, really.
Last night I had a nightmare that my offer on track disappeared and then turned into 'unsuccessful.'
I woke up all panicky!
Luckily I got my letter today with my offer so if anything happens on track I can prove the offer was there.

There's only so much newspaper crane designing an engineer can do in one day... namely - none.
