I reported that thread because we have had SO many like it in the past few weeks, it wouldn't have been hard for that poster to look through the threads or do a search for the topic. Hell, they even started the post with "I bet there are already loads of threads on this but what the hell..." or something along those lines. People get annoyed when the SAME threads appear again and again. Also when threads are started that should be in another forum, like if someone started a "My fingers have gone blue" thread that should have been in the Health and Relationships forum. Also, pointless posts (which, I have to say, you have made a fair few of) get deleted. You have to be careful or you'll get warning points and could get banned.

Sorry I've probably done too many exams so the incorrect use of respectively makes me twitch. I just thought it was funny because you need to name the people or make some kind of indication of a difference between the two in the sentence in order for the use of respectively to be valid (ie. show which one got what). It took me ages before I figured that out - I never used to understand its relevance - probably a common mistake.

That thread i just replied to got locked down - I'm sure there's a mod that hates me - because once my thread got deleted and I got neg repped for pretty much no reason. The thread was only trying to make conversation - that's what these forums are for.

Writing in decent, punctuated English is one of the requirements of the forum if you care to read the FAQ. And the thread "why is nothing happening in this room" or what ever it was, was reported by me because it was COMPLETELY pointless. Just mention it in the relevant thread, i.e. the general chat thread instead of making a new thread, which makes it harder for people to sift through all the past threads, therefore causing them to start a new thread. Vicious circle.
