I can't actually find me anywhere on google!! My name turns up over 4 million entries and not a single one is me
Apparently I'm millions of Americans, thousands of Paddys (even though I put in my real name) and I'm disturbingly dead
But not one is really me!
Why are so many Americans called Keenan? I swear I have never come accross someone called Keenan that wasn't in my family

I know a Keenan. In fact I know several Keenans. Though all from the same family, but still!

How can you say it's a very Geordie name if you only know one family? Or is it like one huge family
I do see Keenan alot on TV credits, which amuses me. OH also my cousin is the bird lady from Home Alone (I forget if it's the 1st or 2nd, its the one in New York)

That's the second Home Alone, duhh! (that's an awesome claim to fame!)
And although I only know of one family, I'm sure I've heard of others. Plus it just SOUNDS like a geordie name....as I say, we have strong links with the Irish, a lot of Irish names sound geordie and vice-versa. Similarly, we say things like "meself" for "myself" - same as the Irish...so a fairly similar accent. Geordie is like a cross between Irish and Scottish

Damn right!! I've never actually met her tho, well to my knowledge anyway.
I don't think I've heard the Geordie accent before, unless it's anything to do with Ant and Dec (I could be totally wrong tho lol)?
At least maybe that means that people will understand me. Sometimes I talk *really* fast and it really confuses all my friends My family understand me fine tho

You were correct in linking it with Ant and Dec, since they are from Newcastle, and people from Newcastle are geordies (commonly mispelt "jordie" ). And so yeah my accent is kinda like theirs, just a bit southernised (damnit!)

Oh that's cool then. I'm sure the Geordie accent is also mch better on someone who doesn't irritate the crap out of me (Ant&Dec GRRRRR)
