It's terrible... its cost me about 25 hours of my life!! And counting, still 3 pages to go. These things are so ****ing fiddly.

Would now be an appropriate time to gloat and and announce that I have finished all my essays for this term?

(although the last one I couldn't really be bothered with so I just got it to 'hand in-dable' level and have left it at that).

Ha ha, nope ... not the right time. One of the essays I handed in was definitely not hand-in-able. It was awful. I was ill for several days last week which really threw me off track, and I'm not an organised person at the best of times ...

Could you not get an extension?

I think the best thing to do is just to sit down and work on them(and break them into smaller units,rather than thinking '******,got 4 essays to finish')...

I take it you'll be pulling an all-nighter?

I could ask for an extension, but I'll be here for open days, then I'm only home for a few days before going away and I really don't want an essay looming over my head! I'll probably do the 2 I've nearly finished and my French summative as well as possible, then just do the last one really badly with a note explaining why it's not my best work.

I have an essay in tomorrow, but it's formative and the title is SOOOO crappy!!

So instead I have done an essay plan for them, because I can't be arsed to do a proper essay. Plus, the plan is crap and has no references in it.

Do I care?

Well..considering tonight is Handover Formal and I plan to get suitably trashed (for the first time this term!...maybe even this academic year...eek!) then no, I do not care! :biggrin:

My man is taking me out to dinner tonight. He suggested I might have to much work to be going out but I am not giving up a nice restaurant for a stupid formative essay on metaphysical poetry!

Update: Have finished one of the essays. Thought it would take me about 20 minutes but it's taken 3 hours, and it's about 500 words too long. But it's only formative so I haven't put the word count on and am hoping my tutor won't notice. Next: Finish next essay, by cutting it down by 200 words.

Concentrate on your summative!
I knew I would be exhausted after my dissertation so I was a geek and did tomorrow's essay weeks ago. That doesn't mean its good, though.
Now I just need to find some energy so I can go to after formal tonight...and go to my crappy 9am tomorrow!

Ha ha, nice one Dobbs. I'm doing the drunk thing tomorrow, if I have enough energy to stand ...

I just finished my penultimate essay, but it's in the shoddiest French ever. I still have another to do. I have less than 10 hours before I have to leave to hand all this in, and that doesn't include slee/eating time :frown:

I always used to rely on pint mugs of coffee and 'boost' bars. I think I crippled some of my internal organs doing that.

I woke up 10am on Wednesday, played in a football match, went to college at 2pm after t'publunch. Sat in computer room from 2pm-8am the next morning. 18 hours... OMG. Had half a pack of proplus 3 cups of tea and 4 cans of coke.

Went to chem lab without sleep (10-6pm) Thursday, and handed my lab report in after another hour working on it in the library.

If I dont get my best lab mark ever, I am going to scream so loudly that I will probably die, as will everyone in a radius of 10m.

But I felt so enegetic once Id handed it in, finished all my treasury duties, auditioned for a Shakespeare, went out for a meal and danced the night away in Chase. Ate a kebab and went to sleep, a mere 47 hours after I had woken.

Going on a Bailey bar crawl to celebrate then I'm gonna start packing at 2am hopefully. Lol!

lol it's true, a friend of mine is on a year abroad and we saw her at the start of this term for a week - before that it was last june, and i won't see her again until after the summer!!
