I have done no revision for my final year exams.

For me to get a 2:1 class degree I predict I will need to average about 65%-68% over the 4 exams I have.

Considering the highest I have ever received for any exam is 65%, and I have done no revision thus far, I am in the poo gutter :frown:

PS. Hello Paddy
I know I'll have to do really well in these exams because my dissertation was rubbish (though I worked myself ill to do it :frown:)
I hope they give us the marks back before exam time (though knowing my department, we won't get them for another 2 months) so I have some more motivation...

Well Durham rejected me, twice;dry;
Don't worry I'm not bitter:smile: I like UCL, ssshhhhh
Anywho I thought I'd stick around here, the UCL forum sucks. Plus you guys aren't too bad either:biggrin:
Hey dobbs! How's tricks?
1. I have yet to start the work I promised myself I would do instead of going to lectures last term and I have no real reason other than laziness for it

2. My teeth have all of a sudden developed a rather painful sensitivity to chocolate

3. My magic man wand is sore and I can't for the life of me think why

4. I've drank hardly any water today and I have a big football match tomorrow and am bound to get cramp 5 minutes in

5. For no apparent reason whatsoever I keep getting mental images of nuns doing gymnastics. The more I see them in my mind the more I wonder why the **** they're there and the more I wonder the more I imagine.

Conclusion: I am trapped in a world of backflipping nuns with painful teeth, work accumulating and a sore beaver lever, and have only the prospect of playing football for an hour with severe cramp to comfort me.

Also, my passport is due for renewal and I can't work out if I should get the picture took before or after I get my hair cut next week.

And part of me hates myself for even caring.

I would say I've had a bad Easter Weekend but Jesus died on the cross n that so he probably lays claim to the worst Easter ever, although he did come back to life so swings and roundabouts n all that
PS I'm not actually in a bad mood or anything, I'm just combining moaning and rambling and moabling along into the night. My bed awaits! But I fear sleep because then I will be at the most susceptible to the nuns.

You're probably right.
But if I keep mentioning durham21 in all of my posts (that's www.durham21.co.uk) I might even things up a little.

I usually hate things like "beaver leaver" and "magic man wand", but those are high quality technical terms. Well done.

Nuns need exercise too. Are they wearing their habits in your imagination, or perhaps leotards with just the head bit so that you know they're nuns? Is Whoopi Goldberg there? Perhaps it's a sexual thing based on the fact that you cannot sleep with a nun. Unless your magic man wand gets better and lures them in ...

... I'm going to have some strange dreams tonight. Though I did already have a dream the other day that my room in Christopher was renovated as a kind of test to see if it were a good way of dealing with the dump. As a result it was about ten times the size, with four double beds, a sink, some really high up cupboards and some decorative Chinese plates. What a fantastic dream. Then I woke up and remembered that my carpet is stained, the internet socket thing has fallen off the wall and the broken curtain that I have reported will never be fixed, meaning I cannot work at my desk because the sunlight shines directly onto my laptop screen.

Do the photo before you get the haircut. But I'm only saying that because I prefer long-ish hair on guys.

I realise I'm only a first year, so you guys - especially Jesus - won't sympathise, but I am still yet to read Bleak House, Robinson Crusoe, Paradise Lost, most of the poetry on the module, 2 Arthur Miller plays and 2 O'Neill plays. And to learn ANYTHING about Europe from 1945 to the present. And French. Hmmm. I still have about three quarters of a play to write, as well, and I'm meant to be calling my director to arrange a meeting but I know he'll ask where the rest of the play is. I'm frightened. Technically there's no contract but, being £900 into my overdraft, I need the money.

*sigh* I am very tired but my brother and his weird friends are directly below me and all I can hear are rumbling man voices. Ugh. I still haven't unpacked from uni or from skiing or tidied up the mess I made whilst packing for skiing, so getting to my bed will have about 35 minutes alone.

Durham21! *helps the cause*

I should stop typing now. This is getting ridiculous.
Jelkin, have you never heard of spark notes?

Bleak House - http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/bleakhouse/

Robinson Crusoe - http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/crusoe/

Paradise Lost - http://www.sparknotes.com/poetry/paradiselost/

Next problem?
I don't wanna go back to italy on Wednesday. :frown:

I had a dream last night that there was some sort of war in Durham and Hild Bede were the "good guys", or something, and I was hiding in a locker somewhere but some enemy guy saw me and shot me in the head. I then went running around screaming "help me" at people, because for some reason I wasn't dead and was hoping I could be saved, and I got sent back to "base" (which for some reason no one had thought to tell me about before), but our SRC chair told me I was going to die so I went looking for my boyfriend to tell him. I woke up feeling pretty glad. Isn't it weird how believable stupid dreams are when we have them?

How much does it cost to join the gym at Maiden Castle? I'm sure there was a thread a while ago on this, but I can't find it.
I remember it being £100 for a year.I shall be joining next year:smile:

Pfft, people complain that they don't like to go to the gym when there are people bigger and stronger around them beasting it away.

Then they join Maiden Castle gym, where Team Durham spend their hours.

I'm confused  lol

Trevs gym = £5 for your time at Durham, and is awesome
Reply 5878
Can I join Trev's gym? Wish Hild Bede gym were adequate, then I wouldn't have to look around for something better. :frown:
