****ing hell. What subject can you do to have finished them already!?!

Get this.

Went to 3 of my ~35 Physics lectures this year... and 2 of 10 example classes.

I am going to add to that 7 hours of work in a year by all nightering tonight.

How cool would it be if I passed this module!?!?

May I ask why you went to so few lectures/classes this year? You seem to be really worried about your exams, etc. and SO stressed when it sounds like you really haven't been going to any of the lectures anyway, so I'm not surprised!

Some of my modules I really dislike but I still made sure I went to all of the lectures (granted I've had a lot less than you, but I've always said I'd rather have more lectures than have to try to read so much!)

I had my first exam this morning, and considering I've only revised it yesterday and Friday (and a little bit on Thursday) I think it went quite well

Because Rob is a lazy plank.
Im just hardworking in other ways... Always committed to my productions, teams and societies.

I just am immensely disgusted by the idea of listening to someone chat crap about something that doesn't even vaguely interest me.

And of course I'm worried and stressed... could you even IMAGINE this situation?!

Thankfully Ill probably at least get to do resits now. And I have learned a few things from this.
wahoo!!

1 down 4 to go. Bring on the 25th!!
Went well then Stevie G??

The elusive first??

Don't intend on sounding rude here but,why do a degree if it doesn't vaguely interest you?

In other news....Human Origins exam today was er,strange.Nothing on what we had spent the majority of the year studying! Was very weird.
Yeah, been asked that before.. I wanted to challenge myself mentally. I don't think it's really all about having a good time, to be fair.
Ah OK.Well,good luck!

Yeah, my boyfriend said that that was a weird exam. I did a drama exam today and I'm sure the invigilators started 7 minutes late - they did, however, still finish at 17:30. Was too afraid to point it out. Also, halfway through the exam the guy decided to interrupt us and read out a list of names of people who hadn't turned up to check it wasn't us. He didn't give us any extra time having done that. At the end, we had to wait around whilst they counted every single exam paper and separated them from the questions and counted those little blue attendance cards you hand in. Stupid invigilators. I also spent quite a lot of time, in my "Waiting For Godot" essay, talking about what MIGHT happen as a result of some of the other things. It was entirely irrelevant. Still, that's my own fault, as was writing about more plays than I needed to in two of the questions. I am a tool.

Oh, and thanks, Arkbar. I needed something to pass the time whilst I was meant to be revising. I'll be honest, I just like the idea of studying in America a lot, and the courses sound great. At this rate I'll have a ****ty degree though.

I wish there were a vending machine just outside my door. I want chocolate but can't be bothered to walk to the JCR to get some.

Life is so hard.

Don't ever engage in a prolonged discussion with Rob, it will confuse and disturb you on many levels. e.g On a TSR meet last year, Rob to Itchynscratchy "I have an objection to labs and practical science" [paraphrase].

Jelkin: A PhD in Yankeeland will take you 5-7+ years, it was a bit weird arriving here, mentioning that my girlfriend was an English major and getting very negative responses.

Argh I hope that isn't setting the pattern for 3rd year bio anth exams too! I know the questions aren't based on lectures but more like statements derived from general topics which aren't explicitly separated in the course - that always takes me ages to work out before I start revising.

Yeah, that's why a PhD wasn't really my aim. Not sure how I'd pay for a Master's but I don't feel the need to think about that yet. Instead, I peruse American uni websites when I'm meant to be doing work for the degree I'd need to do well on in order to get onto a Master's program. Hum de dum.

Why would they give you negative responses about your girlfriend being an English major? *misses something*

I had a prolonged conversation with Robbie once, it was fun. Then again, I am probably of the same mould. The other day I was in the dining hall biting my boyfriend's hand, and I looked over and saw one of my college siblings staring at me. I really must temper my weirdness in public.

Well considering a masters would probably cost you about 50 grand for 2 years, I'm thinking it's not really worth it...
Because in the States, English isn't competitive to get into and from my experience appears to be populated mainly with people who couldn't get into any other humanity. Correspondingly, in contrast to the UK, English doesn't appear to be a very 'respected' subject.
I don't really enjoy my degree, I haven't been to any lectures or tutorials for quite a few months now and I've been threatened with being thrown out and been put on keeping term (and I still didn't go to this term's tutorials :frown: ). I went over 120 lectures in a row last year without going to one, more just from apathy towards the degree than anything else. Why do a degree if it doesn't vaguely interest you? I have absolutely no idea, but I'm 100% glad I did, if only just for the Pro Evo. And that's why I'm not even the slightest bit bothered about the exams, if I get thrown out then I've still had the best two years of my life; if I stay to the end and fail then I've still had the best three years of my lfe; if I stay to the end and get a decent degree then I've had the best three years of my life and got a degree with it.

I spent the last hours before my exam yesterday creating a classic Boro team on Pro Evo. It's brilliant. New badge = superb. Haven't quite mastered Paul Merson's running style but I'm getting there. Not that he's going to play mind, he doesn't even get in the first 22, but it's nice to know if he's needed he'll be as true to life as possible. Also checked my Juninho's stats with the Juninho I'd created for the Boro 97 team I created a few weeks ago and this one had more acceleration, which was strange. Had trouble deciding the squad numbers as well, so that was a bit of a headache, but I got there in the end, and that's all that counts :yy:

Good luck to all with exams, may they go as smoothly as a baby's bum, but not as noisy or smelly.

Wasn't that great actually. Probably a 2:2 but ah well, I'm just so happy that its out of the way, I have three (relatively!) nice ones to come now.

On a TSR meet last year, Rob to Itchynscratchy "I have an objection to labs and practical science" [paraphrase].

 As I recall the statement was that practical science is pointless, but then it was a while ago I can't really remember that well. We absolutely must have a post-exam meetup when no one is doing anything, if only for some Robbie hilarity

It must be nice to have the money to waste on obsessing over a game instead of getting a qualification for 3 years! If I wasn't enjoying my course or was on the road to failure I'd cut my losses and get a job instead of wasting so much time...
I shouldnt be a source of hillarity. I should be spat on and punched in the ear in equal measure.

What might be hillarious is if I pass my physics exam. Foundations 2 today was an absolute BITCH... but I did 10 hours work for an entire year and went to 4 lectures I think. I should fail, but if I dont...

well, im just cool.
Woah. Aren't we supposed to be doing something daft like 200 hours work for each module? That's including lectures, assignments etc but stilll...
Yeah, but I doubt anyone does more than 100 in total.

There were 37 hours of lectures though, and 16 of example classes (though I went to 4 hours of those thouhg)...

actually did 18 hours for the module.. still ridiculous, but not as much
