The depression society is the stupidest excuse for a society ever. Pfft silly adolescents. They haven't even lived!
"Oh my hormones are raging again. I'm soooooooooooooooo depressed gonna go kill myself now ok thx bye"

The thread sounds similar to some "pro-ana" websites I've seen. I find it particularly sickening, as it trivialises those who really are dealing with an illness. I'm sure that some real anorexics post in there, but the amount of dross from attention seeker really annoys me.

Lol I wouldn't be surprised. Look at that epidemic of suicides that happened in that town that was connected with Myspace or something. They should get out more.

To be honest myspace is just full of chavs now. No wonder that they are offing themselves, must be accelarated darwinism of some sorts.

FYI they were cyanide and happiness cartoons ;yes;
Problem with the Internet is if they're feeling down (not truly depressed!!) then they go on here to relieve some boredom, but then get dragged down into the depressive threads, and then they start feeling sorry for themselves and moan on and on about their problems, get the sympathy and attention for it that they crave, then get locked in a cycle of self-pity and attention and thinking that this is depression. It is not. It is just called being a boring attention-seeking sod.
Grr!
I have things I could easily give up and moan about but I choose not to. I choose to get out there and make things better instead. Most of the people in that silly depression society just need a kick up their arse and some exercise!

I'm not sure chick. I believe a lot of the peeps in that society are genuinely depressed.

Even if some of them are, its very selfish of them to drag people who are just down along with them into their wallowing convention.

My temptation increases with every passing day. But if I did, it really wouldn't be a good sign for my degree....:s-smilie: :biggrin:

lol @ LGS. Are you thinking about taking it next year? :p:

Sex thread had some criminal content. In Criminal Law expect to do a lot about rape and sexual offenses. Produces some savoury tutorials I can tell you!

lol I'm sure!!

Ummm, I think I sort of am tempted by LGS. Rackley comes across as someone who could be a damn good lecturer/tutor when she is talking about the stuff she is actually interested in as opposed to Skillz! Would you recommend?

£3.50, so 2 pints (and its not like your going to be drinking as much when you get back to Durham now, is it?)
