Ooh, please give us a sample of your poetry!

Only since 'tis good procrastination

Most of them make a lot more sense to me and my friends, but...

The original one, aimed at a young rower who sits at the front of lectures who has one of the most irritating laughs you will ever hear. (I admit that this one isn't amazingly good, but it made me feel happy)
A chap with a terrible laugh
Makes one feel like a sacrificed calf
He sits at the front
Whilst you secretly want
To put him in a fiery hearth.

Upon Hollieann's bed
Is a lovely young thing called Ted
in immaculate dress
he reduces her stress
and takes it all out of her head.

Mike was an troublesome boy
Who treated all life as a toy
It went terribly wrong
When he played with a gong
Now he can eat nothing but soy.

Like I said... I've spent the afternoon doing this :s-smilie:

shush. It's a half rhyme. It works well enough when said in my accent :p:
Haha, love them.

I wrote haiku for all my friends last term

Where is the lack of rhyming?

laugh and calf are the same, and they sound very similar to hearth
front and want sound very similar.

There was someone who posted on another internet forum I used to go on who wrote all his posts in Haiku. All 35000 of them (no joke)
laugh (laff) sounds nothing like calf (carf)

More like an 8th.

Front and want :s? Even in Surrey we don't pronounce those two the same :p:.

However, limericks are always cool.
