and now it won't let my apply any changes i make... display settings just doesn't respond.

rightio- it's sorted this is what i did.

i went to display settings ---> settings ---> advanced ---> small font.

i then had to restart, which my computer didn't like, but after about 5 attemts and a lot of kicking + swearing, it finally took the hint.

thanx to everyone who tried to help. you are all now a normal size again (although i fear it is too late for my sanity)

you can download this nifty little program from www.downloads.com called 'Desktop Architect' (don't know if it is free now or not), but what the program does is allow to completely, well nearly, modify things like your startup logo, login sounds and stuff, font size, all from the same progarm rathe than having to open different control panels.

Yeah if something like that happens again and you have no idea how to fix it then sometimes its just as easy to use system restore. Thats only in XP though!
