Should I prepare for my first university session with extensive self-study, like look into the school's works or buy some books that is related to the topic I am going to study?

I am an undergraduate student for Natural Sciences. Hope to meet someone of you there.

Should I prepare for my first university session with extensive enjoyment of life, going out every day, sleeping in till mid-afternoon, desperately trying not to earn a liver transplant. Look into going camping with friends, enjoying the great outdoors or even buying some books related to whatever I like that is not science.

Seriously, a science degree is not a holiday, it's a lot of contact hours and a lot of work on top of that. Not something you can prepare for, so enjoy the holiday while it lasts.
