Please can any current vet med students let me know what titles are on 1st year reading lists. I will be applying to vet school (probably next year), but I'd like to increase my knowledge as much as poss before then. And I LOVE reading up on stuff! Thanks peeps x


Hey ya! If you look on www.rvc.ac.uk/freshers, then one of the links on there will tell you the reading list! I dunno wot link it is coz my comp is playing up and wont let me click on them!

Bristol vet society has reviewed the first year texts on their website:

It's ever so slightly out of date, since they don't say anything about Sjaastad, Hove and Sand (I like it more than Cunningham), but the rest of it's pretty accurate.
If you're heading for Bristol, I wouldn't bother much with Biochemistry, since it's only a year's course. Can't speak for the other vet schools though!
