What type of media are you trying to play?

It's for entering a "crime scene" which is a suspected arson/fraud.

I better hide my anarchist's cookbook and delete my file sharing stuff on my computer so they don't suspect it's me and just in case they try and do me for something else. (only joking about the file sharing)

Take a look when you're at home at the error message and try and google for the code error. You'll be surprised how many people suffer the same problems.

Have you installed a proper driver for the new screen or a generic windows one?

It'll be for the screen google for the manufacturers website and then look for technical support/downloads and look for the driver for your model (the manufacturers website often has some information to find out what model it is if it isn't obvious too)

AHA! after fiddling with drivers and system settings and computer administrators for 3 hours, i've found the problem: i didnt have the 'make this folder private' box checked in my documents settings!

that ONE thing meant i couldn't use any media! damn windows!!!!!!

p.s. if bill gates dissappearance is in the news in the next few days, don't look at me.

oh, and don't look under my lawn either

I hate XP, there's too many little hidden menus and boxes to tick.
