If it's any consolation over your oxford rejection - look at it like this. One thing i noticed when i had my interview at cambridge was that none of the 4 interviewers i saw had actually attained their BA's from Oxbridge. They too were probably rejects like us. If someone is talented, as you clearly are, then you may still end up there. This is just the first step on the road, if you are looking to be an academic.

Personally, i'd go for Durham. But thats just because i love the place and dont like the hustle and bustle of somewhere like Nottingam. What you also have to consider is that apart from the teaching you'll receive (which is very good at all your chosen uni's) you have to also think about the fact that you will be spending three whole years of your life there. Are their lots of things there to keep you busy? Do you actually want to live there?

Good luck
I wish you every success.

Hi!
I've got offers from Nottingham, Durham and York so far (I'm still waiting for Bristol and St Andrews) to read Psychology.
I applied to Oxford but I was rejected and now I can't choose between the others! I could really do with some help here please!
Does anyone know which has the best course- I'm doing some research using the internet and all the 3rd years are VERY different!
These are my choices in a bit more detail:
Durham, St Chads- Psychology
York- Psychology
Nottingham- Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience

Please tell me some things about the other two incase I get offers from them too.

I'm post A level- so grades aren't a problem- I can just walk into any of the above this year!

Thanks, Joanne

hmm looking at that it is also worth considering the destinations score as well, 85% of notts psych grads going on to graduate employment compared to 70% at both durham and york, thats quite a lot lower, weird.
