Shame I picked a uni in Newcastle then isn't it.
Some American accents are nice, but some really REALLY piss me off. I'm not sure where they're from, but they just grate horribly.

Strong and loud USA but good lord when I hear the norn iron (my own!) accent on tv/radio a shudder goes down my spine.
Most english apart from London :smug:

Also Welsh and sometimes Aussie
Eurgh Australian, American, New Zealandish(?) and South African are just terrible. Actually anything that isn't quite posh English sounds a bit retarded to me.

Australian accents. I think it stems from my (Australian) teacher in year 7/8 who hated me and used to scream at me in her accent all the time. Has always bugged me since!

Indian (particularly the ones from the south)

Geordie
Received pronunciation (Its just plain gay, period)
Scottish
Bangladeshi
Korean

As a general rule of thumb, anything that sounds even remotely British (apart from the Welsh, Accrington and Yorkshire accents) is either pretentious, crude or gay.
